i thought you all may like to know...
to quote my livejournal a while back:
"

You're really having a good time with life. To some extent, life is nothing but a party to you. This provides for some real good times, but on occasion threatens to get old. I wouldn't worry, though :)

This test taken @ TheAeroZone.com, where you can take more tests than any human should. :D

haha duh! i am wondering if i can get any more obsessed than i am... my head says no but my heart says SHAKE IT LIKE A POLAROID PICTURE! "

Hello all

I must say this is the most random community I've joined.

I love Hey Ya and its fast becoming my song of 2004. No matter what clubs you go to you hear it and everyone HAS to dance, rock, chart, dance and cheese.

I hope everyone has perfected dancing to it without it looking rude. It took me and my friend a while to do so whilst drunk!

Yesterday on Prairie Home Companion there was a one minute and fifteen second skit in which some people said "Saaaaaaaaiiint Pauuuuul" to the tune of "Hey Ya" and also mentioned some other cities in Minnesota that St. Paul is not. I would have expected better from Garrison Keillor and friends, but luckily I was not expecting it.

(also i just saw a picture of garrison and he does not look at ALL like ben stein and now i can never listen to his show again)

Here is an anecdote:

The other night, I had a terrible headache and was trying to go to sleep a little early, so naturally a bunch of drunken hooligans at my school ended up hanging out on the lawn outside my room all night. I was just about ready to open my window and holler at them like a cranky old woman (which, since I live on the first floor and my dorm was still open, probably would've been regrettable for me) because someone on the second floor was blasting music out the window and so these awful white people had started singing along to the crunktacular Usher/Li'l Jon/Ludacris anthem "Yeah" and they were completely out of tune and didn't know any of the words besides "Yeah"...but then the next song on the radio or mix cd or whatever happened to be "Hey Ya!" and suddenly the din of the drunken white people became a lot more bearable. No disrespect to "Yeah," of course, but "Hey Ya!" is a lot easier to sing and of course everyone on earth knows all the words...it was just what the doctor ordered. Thank you, "Hey Ya," for soothing my nerves and keeping me from acting rashly and getting beer bottles thrown at my window.

In other, less-rambly news, this is kind of old but still great. Man alive, Andre 3000, hardened gangsta!

Hey Ya has changed my Life. Stheriousthly you guysth.
I have two stories to share about the greatness that is known world-wide as Hey Ya.

My best friend &I decided to take a ride into Center City one afternoon. It started out innocently enough--we were just driving, listening to a CD I had made previously that morning. Well, we got to Germantown when my car stereo speakers were suddenly rocked with Hey Ya. Naturally, as everyone does upon hearing the song, we burst into dance. Two African Amercian men on the pavement began dancing with us. I think it might be needless to say that this spawned a whole two and a half hours of listening to Hey Ya on repeat, dancing like fools, &getting as many people as possible all throughout Center City to dance with us. Keira &I are officially loved by the whole of Germantown, Center City, &an unnamed ghetto that we rocked the socks off of.

Next.

I went bowling not too long ago with a group of my friends. It was cosmic bowling, so as you may or may not know, they have TV screens of some sort set up all throughout the bowling alley. We were having a grand old time when suddenly, HEY YA made it's appearance. My aforementioned best friend &I immediately sprung into dance and did, in fact, start shaking it like a Polaroid picture. We were so entertaining, they put us up on the screens and the whole bowling alley saw us. We were completely the highlight of everyone's evening. So thank you Hey Ya. Without you I'd be just another no-rhythym crazywhitegirl.

PS-I'm new. Nice to meet you. :)

today was battle of the bands at my school, and this incredibly bad christian emo band played. they covered hey ya (VERY POORLY) and i yelled "YOU'RE NO ANDRE!" at them. when they finished their set, i informed them that "if jesus was real, he'd think you suck!!"

that was probably my only negative experience with hey ya, ever.
